** Not that I am aware of. Looking at the crystalsvg installed file structure is probably the best way to guess at how a new set should be laid out. We do attempt to follow the XDG specifications, but the XDG compatibility project stalled out a while back.--[[User:TimothyPearson|TimothyPearson]] ([[User talk:TimothyPearson|talk]]) 14:09, 29 April 2014 (CDT)

Things that should be added to this page/considered for the wiki, but that I don't have any information on (yet):

  • Are other image file formats permissible?
    • SVG is preferred, as in the worst case PNG can be generated from SVG automatically and in the best case SVG can be used alone.--TimothyPearson (talk) 14:09, 29 April 2014 (CDT)
  • Was there ever a visual standard for any of these icon sets (to aid in the creation of new icons)?
  • Is there any instructional page anywhere on creating new icon sets (either in general or for Trinity/KDE3)?
    • Not that I am aware of. Looking at the crystalsvg installed file structure is probably the best way to guess at how a new set should be laid out. We do attempt to follow the XDG specifications, but the XDG compatibility project stalled out a while back.--TimothyPearson (talk) 14:09, 29 April 2014 (CDT)
  • Do we want to put a user-curated page of useful icon sets in the Community category of the wiki?
