|Oxidized Trinity||Remix||Prashanth Venkataram||This is a respin of Kubuntu 10.04 Trinity 'Lucid Lynx' i386, which I have called 'Oxidized Trinity'. The base system and applications remain unchanged, but I have changed the wallpaper, icons, OpenOffice.org theme, window decoration (to the blue 'Plastik'), and Kicker background to mimic the appearance of KDE 4.1. Trinity has huge potential as an alternative desktop environment for older computers/environments with limited hardware resources; with that in mind, the KDE 3.5 default look is showing its age, so I wanted to add some aesthetic spice and modernity to the system, while retaining the speed, stability, and customizability that have become hallmarks of KDE 3.5/Trinity. I hope you enjoy using this system as much as I enjoyed creating it! There are a few bugs: first, users must press "Enter" to initiate GRUB. Next, there may be a warning message about the OS running in low graphics mode; click through it and ignore it. Next, there may be an error right before KDM shows up; click through it and ignore it. Finally, though KDM shows "pvbox" as the user, the actual username is "guest" - there is no password. Please email me at [this email address here] with any questions, comments, and/or suggestions. Also, please see my blog Das U-Blog by Prashanth for information regarding this respin as well as more general free software and other news, reviews, and opinions.||Download from SourceForge|
